The BAsics Bus Tours have been a project of the BA Everywhere… Imagine The Difference It Could Make! Campaign – a wide-ranging campaign to raise big money to get Bob Avakian’s vision and works into every corner of society. A fundraising campaign that will raise the necessary major money to make this possible. A fundraising campaign that unleashes and develops imagination, defiance, and community in everything it does.
The BAsics Bus Tour project has been breaking the barriers to do just this. The Tours have captured people’s imagination. The Tours impact touring initially through California in February; then the second tour in May into the South, from Atlanta, Georgia to Sanford, Florida where a want-to-be-cop murdered Trayvon Martin; and in July 2012, the tour went through New York City and cities in surrounding areas.
Check out the videos from the tours, read what’s on the blog: These BAsics Bus Tours have been getting out what this leader, Bob Avakian, has brought forward in the book, BAsics, from the talks and writing of Bob Avakian and in the Revolution talk (Revolution: Why It’s Necessary, Why It’s Possible, What It’s All About, a DVD)— in a way that is consistent with the new synthesis he has brought forward and what he is all about. From Sanford, Florida to Brooklyn, New York, something very powerful is being connected.
But this all needs to break out much bigger into society. That’s what the whole BA Everywhere… Imagine the Difference! Campaign is about.

BAsics, from the talks and writings of Bob Avakian is a book of quotations and short essays that speaks powerfully to questions of revolution and human emancipation. BAsics concentrates more than 30 years of Avakian’s work. BAsics can not only introduce many more people to the thinking of the author who has put communism back on the agenda as a vital and viable force—it can play a major role in bringing forward and forging a new wave of revolutionaries.
Bob Avakian is a visionary communist thinker and revolutionary leader. He is the author of many books and articles. He is the leader of the Revolutionary Communist Party, USA. And he is more than that: he’s an innovative and critical thinker who has taken Marxism to a new place; he’s a provocative commentator on everything from basketball to religion, doo-wop music to science; and he’s a pit-bull fighter against oppression who’s kept both his solemn sense of purpose and his irrepressible sense of humor.
BA Everywhere is a campaign aimed at raising big money to project Bob Avakian’s voice and works throughout society—to make BA a household word. The campaign is reaching out to those who are deeply discontented with what is going on in the world, and stirring up discussion and debate about the problem and solution. It is challenging the conventional wisdom that this capitalist system is the best humanity can do—and bringing to life the reality that with the new synthesis of communism brought forward by BA, there is a viable vision and strategy for a radically new, and much better, society and world, and there is the leadership that is needed for the struggle toward that goal.
Success in this campaign can bring about a radical and fundamental change in the social and political atmosphere by bringing the whole BA vision and framework into all corners of society where it does not yet exist, or is still too little known, and getting all sorts of people to engage and wrestle with it.
BA Everywhere is a multi-faceted campaign, involving different key initiatives and punctuation points, at the same time sinking roots among all sections of the people and reaching out broadly in myriad creative ways. Revolution newspaper is where everyone can find out what’s going on with all this: reports on what people are doing, upcoming plans, important editorials, etc. We call on readers to send us timely correspondence on what you are doing to raise money for BA Everywhere, why people are contributing, and what they are saying.
